Purchase Process

    Outside of office hours, if you leave a message on our voicemail, we will get back to you shortly. Inquiries via FAX, email, or the website contact form are accepted 24 hours a day. Feel free to contact us for early consultations, such as purchases planned for six months ahead.

    We can deliver nationwide, excluding Okinawa, remote islands, and some areas. For more details, please confirm when making inquiries.

  2. STEP

    Quotation and Product Recommendations

    After consulting with you, we will visit your home or the designated location at a pre-determined date and time. We'll bring samples of our products and engage in discussions based on your preferences and requirements. During this visit, we'll introduce our products, provide recommendations, and offer a detailed quotation.

  3. STEP

    Measurement and Pickup

    We will take measurements and pick up the items. Pickup can be arranged on the same day as the estimate or on a date specified by you. There is no charge for moving furniture during the pickup.

  4. STEP

    Manufacturing and Replacing

    At our own factory, we will finish the products according to your preferences and store them until the delivery date.

  5. STEP

    Delivery

    We will deliver and install on a date convenient for you.
    During installation, we will make necessary adjustments and place any displaced furniture back to its original position.

    ※Long-term storage, such as delivering one month after pickup, is also possible.

If you encounter any issues after delivery, please contact us. We will visit again for adjustments if necessary.

How long does the construction take?
A

Tatami and fixtures are taken back to our factory for replacement and other work. Tatami will be delivered two days after the pickup date, and fixtures such as fusuma will be delivered three days or more after.

Is it okay to place a carpet on tatami?
A

It is not recommended to leave carpets on tatami for an extended period. This may lead to the development of insects or mold due to humidity. If you choose to place a carpet, we suggest monitoring the situation while performing regular cleaning and ventilation.

Can you perform construction for just one tatami mat?
A

We can accommodate construction for a single tatami mat.
※Please note that compared to non-construction tatami mats, there may be changes in color and texture over time.

What is the process of turning tatami mats inside out?
A

After 3-5 years, as a general guideline, we peel off the tatami surface(goza) and border, turn the goza inside out, re-sew it, and attach a new border. Performing the inside-out process after the surface of the tatami has already worn out, such as fraying, can be challenging. In such cases, we recommend 'replacing the surface'.

When is the recommended time for tatami replacement?
A

The timing for tatami replacement varies based on factors such as tatami quality, indoor and underfloor conditions, and lifestyle.If you've turned the tatami inside out, it's advisable to consider replacement approximately every 3-5 years from that point. If you haven't turned them inside out, replacement is generally recommended every 5-8 years.

When is the recommended time for fusuma replacement?
A

If there are stains, dirt, or damage to the fusuma, we recommend replacing them as soon as possible. Even if the damage is not visually prominent, fusuma paper degrades over time and loses its properties. The timing for replacement varies depending on the paper quality and the room's environment, but we generally recommend replacement every 10 years. With various colors and patterns available in retro, modern, and chic styles, changing the fusuma paper can be a recommended way to refresh the room's ambiance.

If the fusuma doors or shoji screens become difficult to move smoothly, can they be repaired?
A

We will inspect the fixtures, doorframes, and thresholds to determine the cause. We can then perform adjustments, corrections, and, if necessary, replacements to ensure that the doors slide smoothly.

If the fusuma is severely damaged, can it be repaired?
A

Even if the paper is torn extensively, it's not a problem. In cases of severe outer frame damage, the replacement is possible. If the inner frame is broken, it's also possible to replace only the broken part of it.
